Disguising previous restoration work
Highlighting previous repairs with gold is a popular service we provide.
An unsightly restoration can be given new life, the scars and imperfections
acquired over the course of its journey proudly displayed, not hidden away.
This technique involves first removing as much of the original repair as possible from the surface without causing further damage. The remaining breaks and chips can then be painted with epoxy resin and dusted with gold mica powder to create a kintsugi effect.
Prices vary according to the size and complexity of the restoration.
